Things that make you go "Huh?"

Designs Magazine article for Volume 55, March-April 2009

I want to compliment the editors of Designs Magazine for such a diverse and educational magazine and I consider it a privilege to be a part of it.

As I read the article that I wrote in the magazine, I felt like something was missing.  While going through some files today, I realized I was right.  I know they don't have all the room in the world to print eveything I write.  (I can get wordy at times and I like to put in pictures that show everything.)  And they did a very good job of getting my point across.  When I got to the part where you make the oval, I had to go "Huh?'  Yes, you could figure it out if you read the rest of the article, I think, but just to make things clearer, I'm attaching the full article in this blog.  So for those of you who don't subscribe to the magazine, I guess you'll get a "gimme" and maybe you'll consider going ahead and getting the magazine.  Chances are very good that this is the only time this will happen.  They have split my articles into two issues before which I don't have a problem with.  They did a great job of that one too.

For those of you who subscribe to the magazine, you're getting your money's worth.  Even if you just look at the pictures, you can get a lot of inspiration and ideas. But if you felt like there was something missing, you'll now see what was left out of the article in the magazine.

To subscribe to Designs, go to www.dzgns.com.  You can also view some issues online.   And if you need any embroidery supplies and you're not on their mailing list, go check out www.myhobby4less.com.  They're having a sale.  If you need thread, stabilizer or scissors, the quality is great and the price is fantastic.  Check it out!

Oh, and by the way, come back tomorrow, there may be some more news.
